Bio4Res at EvoStar 2024
The EvoStar 2024 conference took place in the picturesque coastal town of Aberystwyth (Wales, UK) from April 3rd to April 5th, in the Conference Suit of Aberystwyth University.
Held under the auspices of the SPECIES society and locally organized by Christine Zarges, the conference gathered the usual mixture of young and experienced researchers from all over the world, once again providing a great atmosphere and the perfect relaxed and welcoming environment that conference regulars know so well.
David Bueno, Recipient of an AI and Advanced Technology Award
Dr. David Bueno, member of the Bio4Res team, has been one of the recipients of the 2023 AI and Advanced Technology Awards from Madrid’s Town Council. Jointly with José Manuel López (Visitas Virtuales), they created Almudena, a realistic avatar, who is capable of recognizing the user’s voice and providing information on how to recycle in Madrid, something essential for sustainability, which is one of the corner stones of the Bio4Res project.
Keynote at the IDEAL 2023 Conference
The 24th International Conference on Intelligent Data Engineering and Automated Learning (IDEAL 2023) took place in Évora, Portugal, November 22-24, 2023. Locally organized by Paulo Quaresma, Vítor Nogueira and Teresa Gonçalves and chaired by Paulo Quaresma, David Camacho and Hujun Yin, the conference brought together researchers interested in intelligent data analysis, data mining and their associated learning systems and paradigms. Carlos Cotta, member of the Bio4Res Team was honored to be a Keynote Speaker at this conference.
Bio4Res at HAIS 2023
The 18th International Conference on Hybrid Artificial Intelligence Systems (HAIS 2023) took place in the historical city of Salamanca (Spain), on September 5th-7th. This is a long running event whose current edition has been co-chaired by Emilio Corchado and Héctor Quintián. It was held in the historical building of the Colegio Mayor de Fonseca, a magnificient college founded in 1519, in conjunction with two other related scientific conferences, namely SOCO 2023 and CISIS 2023, as well as with a entrepeneurship event, the Startup OLE 2023.
Bio4Res at GECCO 2023
The GECCO 2023 conference took place in Lisbon (Portugal) from July 15th to July 19th. This year, the event was locally organized by Sara Silva as General Chair, Luís Paquete as Editor-in-Chief, and Leonardo Vanneschi as Local Chair. GECCO is currently the top world conference in the area of evolutionary comutation, and this edition certainly lived up to the expectations, bringing together both the world’s most recognized researchers in this field as well as younger researchers who are bringing new blood, ideas and enthusiasm to the community.
Bio4Res at EvoStar 2023
The EvoStar 2023 conference took place in Brno (Czech Republic) from April 12th to April 14th, in the premises of the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) of the Brno University of Technology (BUT). Held under the auspices of the SPECIES society and locally organized by Jiří Jaroš and Lukáš Sekanina, the conference gathered a lively mixture of young and experienced researchers from all over the world and provided the friendly environment and socially cohesive atmosphere that has become one of the trademarks of this event.
