Bio4Res Work Receives the 2nd Best Paper Award at MAEB 2024

Carlos Cotta, one of the principal investigators of the Bio4Res project, has been the recipient of the 2nd Best Paper Award at MAEB 2024, for his work «Un Algoritmo Memético para la Optimización de la Evacuación de Interiores» presented at the MAEB 2024 conference, held within CAEPIA 2024. The award was bestowed during the closing ceremony of the conference and is testimony to the practical relevance of the work carried out in the project.

Bio4Res at MAEB 2024

The 15th edition of the Spanish Conference on Metaheuristics, Evolutionary and Bioinspired Algorithms (MAEB 2024) was held within the Conference of the Spanish IA Association (CAEPIA 2024) in the premises of the Faculty of Computer Science of the University of A Coruña, and was scientifically organized by David Camacho and Juan Ramón Rabuñal. As usual, the conference gathered most of the leading Spanish researchers in the field, as well as a notable representation of younger researchers.

Keynote at the IDEAL 2023 Conference

The 24th International Conference on Intelligent Data Engineering and Automated Learning (IDEAL 2023) took place in Évora, Portugal, November 22-24, 2023. Locally organized by Paulo Quaresma, Vítor Nogueira and Teresa Gonçalves and chaired by Paulo Quaresma, David Camacho and Hujun Yin, the conference brought together researchers interested in intelligent data analysis, data mining and their associated learning systems and paradigms. Carlos Cotta, member of the Bio4Res Team was honored to be a Keynote Speaker at this conference.

Bio4Res at EvoStar 2023

The EvoStar 2023 conference took place in Brno (Czech Republic) from April 12th to April 14th, in the premises of the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) of the Brno University of Technology (BUT). Held under the auspices of the SPECIES society and locally organized by Jiří Jaroš and Lukáš Sekanina, the conference gathered a lively mixture of young and experienced researchers from all over the world and provided the friendly environment and socially cohesive atmosphere that has become one of the trademarks of this event.
