ABOUT US

The CAESIUM (Complex and Evolutionary Systems In the University of Malaga) group focuses its activity in the area of evolutionary and memetic computing to face the challenges of the Society, with special emphasis on lines such as combinatorial optimization, video games and gamification, emerging computing, and multidisciplinary optimization.

Memetic Computing

  • Memetic computing provides a holistic approach to addressing search, optimization, and learning problems at the confluence of the areas of bioinspired computing, machine learning, and operational research.

Multidisciplinary Optimization

  • The need for optimization permeates most human activities, and one of the prevalent characteristics in these scenarios that require optimization is its complexity.

Video Games

  • Video games are one of the most profitable sectors of the entertainment industry.
